IEEE Opening Event: "The Internet, what did you expect?"

We’ve all had the same question once. How is it possible to watch YouTube videos in HD quality without a wire connected to your pc/laptop/smartphone/tablet, in other words with WiFi? How does a router work? How are gigabytes of data sent through the world wide web? Where and how are those billions of Facebook statuses and chat conversations archived? An answer for all these questions is given in this lecture.

IEEE Barbecue

As an annual tradition, we will also close this academic year with a barbecue! We will be serving food and beverages, all for a ridiculously low price. In between courses, you will be able to drive the eKart around the track. If the weather allows to, drinks will be served starting from the late afternoon. A tent is foreseen to keep you dry if the weather is not what we would like it to be.

In order to estimate the required amount of food and beverages, we ask attendees to register on our website. The link to this form will be available soon, so keep an eye on this event's page!

Now for the good part: IEEE members attend the barbecue for free, non-members will be asked to pay €5.
